Tennis lessons are available to UMD students, faculty, and staff, and community members. Tennis is a life skill that can be learned or refined at any age. Our group, private, and semi-private classes and lessons are available for individuals 5 years old to adult.
Play in seasonal intramural sports leagues and tournaments, join 1 of over 40 student-led club sports, play for a discounted rate at the 18-hole University of Maryland Golf Course, or just drop in on courts and fields across campus to play basketball, volleyball, squash, racquetball, tennis, kickball, soccer, Frisbee, and more.
Discover Tennis II is designed for players who have been introduced to tennis and require instruction on basic techniques. Discover Tennis II serves as an introduction to the Live Ball and Supervised Play format. Participants must have completed Discover Tennis I prior to enrolling in Discover Tennis II.
Montgomery TennisPlex offers classes for all juniors, ages 4 to 18, from beginner to advanced levels, taught by our superior staff of tennis coaches. Under their guidance, players have the opportunity to advance from beginner to tournament level, and earn a spot on our Tournament Wall of Fame.
